Welcome abroad, Teddy!

"Welcome, Teddy!" Yes! the day has finally arrived.. Our hero has finally reached his destination, his first step to create wonderful images and keep memories in a miraculous manner!

This afternoon, bout 4pm i finally got a receipt sayin that i could pick up my "teddy" at the local post office which located at about 5 mins walk away. Without any hesitation, i rushed and collected it straight fresh from the postoffice. I then spent about 2 hrs reading the manual and discovering many many functions and superpowers that Teddy would offer to me only if i ask and learn from him respectively. The stock was clean, safe and perfect, and i m satisfied with it other than the slight delay of delivering which invoked a lil bit of my anxiety and anger.

Knowing me, a young 19 years old (still!) tad that owns a passionate heart towards new and intriging objects even a 6 years old small kid wouldnt wana compete with me in that hyperactiveness sense, i quickly untied the parcel, and follow the instructions straight to hav a quick detailed look at Teddy. He's indeed handsome and crafted a witty look on its smart design

i had to use my webcam to take this shot, sorry for the blurry image of "Teddy"

Without further hesitation, i read through 60% of the manual, picking on mostly technical features and abilities that i could derived from Teddy. Of course, you wouldnt know whether a Durian is indeed a D24 breed or just a normal thailand hybrid just by looking or sniffing at it, the most simple and direct method is to test it out... yep, break it into parts and chew out the flesh of it, taste it from bits to bits. And that's exactly what i did to Teddy.

As inspired by one of my cousins, Davors (a pro-like when comes to lomo attempt and camera handling), I took out some of my own toys and put it on together with teddy to create some "Cool-looking-thought-provoking" pics.

Before the actual shootings, i would like to introduce to you my "toys" that being involved in this attempt. Firstly, "Waki" a fine made steel wakizashi (a form of katana, slightly shorter than usual length)

Disclaimer: this is indeed real, and it's for self-defense and decorative purposes. Please dont try anything more at home

Secondly, an official reservoir dogs' poster, featuring Mr.White, Mr.Orange, Mr.Blonde, and Mr.Brown in that show.

Go watch the show, it's indeed a splendid mafia style show.. !!

So, a wakizashi and a reservoir dogs' poster.. a rather weird combination huh? I would think that it's totally ridiculous and senseless without the existence of Teddy in my possession. However, since teddy is here, he said, "no problem, i could come up with something even with that weird combination". I trusted him entirely, therefore i took a few tries.. and here's the result of Teddy's true power!

"A lone samurai stand tall with his katana in front of a squad of mafias, attempting to save the world from injustice!"

Too bad i had to resize the pic in order to fit in nicely in this blog.. if you look at it at the 2000 x 1500 pixels resolution, you could clearly see every single features of the mafias and a nice glaring flare effect due to over light exposure. Yeap, that's the key, exposing it to the pendaflour light on top of me, and readjust the shuttle speed, with a manual aperture and speed approach should be able to obtain this kind of images fairly easily (at the sametime, angling to achieve perfect dimension is also fairly essential in order to get the reflection). However, i wasnt quite satisfied with just that, and i decided to work out teddy a little bit more, so i tried something else more on light exposure and color burning.

Here's my second try,

"The samurai drew out his katana, and it was so glaring, it blinds the enemies!!"

In this attempt, i try a closer up close shot (without micromanage, as i want to over burn the image), and i on my flash (fill flash), and locked angle on hilt part where i wanted it to glare.. slow filter flash it (u normally do this for red eyes reduction), and at the sametime drag the light exposure, combined with appropriate aperture and shuttle speed. Here you go, a glaring light reflecting wonder samurai sword (if you look carefully, you should be able to see the center splash glares effect.

Haha, after messing up with my "toys" i am satisfied for today! phew, please feel free to comment on my attempts and if you hav any future suggestions, please, more than welcome to spill it out~!
