Accidental? or plain Co-incidence?

Few weeks back.. just out of curiousity and sudden urges to gain knowledge in one sense or another... i searched yahoo for the origin of the name "Fred", "Freddy", "Freddie" or "Frederick" etc, and instead of getting the result i wanted.. i saw the hyperlink of this website...
http://fredfactor.com

And i was like.. uhh.. what the..? What the hell is this? Someone took the name before me?? It make me looks stupid, as tho i am a much of a copycat or so.. Anyhow, despite of my sudden burst of frustration and ranting, i decided to click the link and have a look of what this "Fred" got to offer.

The first impression i got from that website was.. "? don't tell me this is a direct-selling scam or something like that..." As, the interface of the website just looked like one and with a big red statement of "Are you a Fred?" "Be a fred" Omigosh.. it's either direct-selling crap.. or some weird ass cults.. Nooo.. please dont condemn the name that's similar to my blogsite..

Somehow.. i managed to squeeze out abit of effort to read the introduction or what is it all about.. this.. fred factor thing.. and just to realize it's nothing too bad but a self-growth/self improvement book. In the books, it emphasized much on conceptual ideas and perceptions on not to live an ordinary life and stuffs like that..

Here's an excerpt from the author himself

"To this day, I can't tell you what motivated Fred. I know he didn't get paid more for his extraordinary work. I doubt he received any special recognition from his employer (if he did, I never heard about it). I know he wasn't privy to any exceptional training or incentive programs.

One thing I do know: Fred, and the way he did his job, is a perfect metaphor for anyone who wants to achieve and excel in the 21st century. Truth is transferable, and the four principles I learned from Fred apply to any person in any profession.

Inspired by Fred the Postman and the countless other Freds I've met, observed or been served by in numerous professions, I wrote The Fred Factor. It contains the simple yet profound lessons all the Freds taught me. Anyone can do them. Everyone should. By learning how to be a Fred it's possible to do extraordinary work. And that means being an extraordinary person as well-something we all want to be."

Yes, the original "Fred" who inspired the author (Mark Sanborn) and sparkled him with wonderful insights and thoughts to blossom up with the production of this "Fred-factor" series, is a postman...

Irony huh? Life is a big Irony by itself.. yep

For those who are interested in learning more bout life, choices, decisions, and philosophycal works like these, you could just click the link above and pay a visit to this creator of the "Fredfactor" not the "Fred-factor" (notice the difference? hehe.. damn him for grabbing the name before me).

Sighz for the cost that somebody actually thought of the name "fredfactor" before me, and further brought it up to a higher level with sparkling thoughts and insightful info (it make me sounds so pathetic... lol), propz for his effort to share what he learnt from this "fred" guy and this indirectly polished the general reputation of all the "Freds" in this world.. hehe..
