Discovery of a new path

First of all, sorry for the sudden dissappearance.. as i m having my holiday now.. so taking things easily (in other words, lazy).. Anyway, this post is specially dedicated to a new hobby which picked by me not too long ago..

OK, the story is just like this, one day, when serotonin hits the brain, i couldnt sleep (at bout 3.40am) and my body overcharged with energies and felt like moving n do something.. So, right at that moment, i decided to take a walk...

Yes.. walk around my neightbourhood around that hour.. i might be crazy..
If you really think so, that's just the beginning..
Few days later, the same situation occurred to me, and this time, instead of walking at night alone, i called out, and managed to drag someone along..

His name is Teddy (lol.. my camera).. yep.. sadly i dont think anyone would be that crazy and energetic willingly enough to accompany except for that digital one-eyed cyclop = Teddy..

So, together we begun our journey, as a nightwalker... Honestly, there are a few things that i need to say regarding walking alone at night in Adelaide, 1) It's scarier than you expected.. as the roads here arent as bright as back there in Malaysia (maybe they wanna conserved energy and materials, so less lamp post), 2) because of that gloomy feeling the night gave birth to, it looks beautiful!! 3)walking alone at night in a hooded fleece plus holding a camera taking pictures everywhere made me a typical stalker look.. (I am so glad that i havent gotten the chance to encounter any police or security authorities here)

It was fun.. as a nightwalker, it's as if you are the only human left survive in this humonguos piece of landscapes, and everything, everywhere is so quiet and peaceful (additionally, bit spooky). And not to mention that, due to the my PASSION in photography and large quantity of time which i could spent with, i took alot of photos of moon, stars (not as nice.. in fact it sux), buildings, trees, etc.

Don't cha think the moon's just so beautiful?

Till now, I had 4 nightwalks experience in Adelaide already, each time i brushed my own record by walking further and further.. by my third try, I reached the City via magill road (main road, and yes, it's freaking far, about 18-19 bus stops' distance from my house to the city) If my memories never failed, i departed at bout 3.40am, reached city compound at bout 5.am (as i took my own sweet time swindering around..)

Here's some of the photos i took on during that walk,

This is how North Terrace is like at around 5am, so peaceful and quiet (took me bout 20 mins/37 attempts to get this one shot)

And so, for my fourth walk, instead of walking through the magill road, i tried walking to the city through the Parade.. honestly.. i got lost several times during that walk, and it was scarry..

After struggling in/within the parade area, and some weird housing areas, i managed to reach the city somehow,.. but it looks so strange to me still.. As i entered the city through the west side which i seldom lay my footprints on, however, it looks so beautiful during dawn time still..

I couldnt remember at all where I took this shot, but, don't cha think this is such nice shot? And i never know that i could catch purple sky at such hour (6.15-6.30am i guess) (For those who stays in adelaide, you could tell that i was so far off from my original route.. lol even this shop is no where near the core of the city)

Alright, after sharing some photos, i would like to share some thoughts that i acquired thru these walks, 1) my neightbourhood looks so friggin scary at night

Ok, maybe that's abit exaggerated.. haha.. but nice photoshop attempt aight? dun cha think?
(I altered the texture effects and make it into oil painting-like.. then adjusted the lightings and of coz the bloody sky)

2)Do not try to push yourself while walking, just follow your mood, the flow, and dun forget to enjoy the ambience and environment around that prepared specially for you by the mother earth.

3)If you are worried bout robbers or rapist, please don't try... (Honestly.. imagine this, if you yourself IS a robber/rapist yourself and you encounter someone walking around the neightbourhood alone at night, say 4.30am, what would you think? Could this guy be someone like me? or what? and hello, even if I really am a rapist you think i no need to sleep ah? And if i am a robber why would i cruise around the residential area so late at night during weekdays? Perhaps the city should be more dangerous in that sense, where drug addicts and some dodgy entities lurks around all the time, don't cha think?)

4)If you cant walk anymore... take a rest, sit down somewhere, and wait for the bus home (In adelaide, the first bus operates at about 5.30am)

5)Never never underdress.. the temperature will increased in an incredible manner at bout 3.30-4.30am (that's the reason why i always depart around that time, to assure that and to avoid dodgy entities)

6)Finally, be sure to bring a map and a torch light or handphone that generates suffice amount of light, unless you LOVE to bet lost like me..

P.S-Adelaide IS beautiful, not just at night :P, and.. anyone wanna join??
