Past, Present, Future
Saturday, May 28, 2005

YOoo everybody, i've just finished my second last assignment for this sem.. yesterday.. so i m basically pretty free.. so why not writing a blog or two? that's an ideal acitivity for a person like me (that without a car, money and chix) would do to spend some time.. Where else could you sound out your opinion loud n clear with 'proper' visual support and technology effects? It's convenient.. especially for shy guy like me that are slightly introvert and pleasant.

i told you that i am shy and ANTISOCIAL!!!! *cue serial killer music

Anyway, back to the initial topic of this entry... It's entitled Past, present and Future, it's bit cliche and cheesy.. like those "yesterday, today, tomorrow" kinda metaphors... Before you click the lil red X button on the top right corner of the window, please allowed me to ensure you that it's nothing bout deep thoughts, prophecies or any personal insights that targeted on human's fragile's heart.. *Ahem.. please dont misunderstood the title

What i meant past, present and future was.. the life before i moved to Adelaide, the time when i am still here enjoying (coughin) and the possible changes that i wish it would happen in the future in adelaide...

Sorry that if my words confuses you earlier.. as i couldnt make up another title that are relevant u see?
If u got any idea.. please feel free to spill it out tho, i will be more than happy to accept any comment on that

ALRIGHTEE then, after all the clarification, i shall start the bull spinning by splitting the content of this entry into 3 section (Before Adelaide, In Adelaide, and potential CHANGES while I'm still in Adelaide)

MY LIFE BEFORE ADELAIDE
Duration length: starting from 3 months before leaving

Once.. during a mamak conversation with one of my intelligent friends..

Dude: hey, Freddy! so you are studying psychology right? doin it all here in local U?

Me: No, I am goin to transfer to University of South Australia this February

Dude: Ooohhh.. australia.. which part?

Me: (eyebrows raised onesided).. South Australia.. that's one of the main states in Australia, like Kedah in Malaysia uno...

Dude: Ooohh.. really ah? i never study that in my geography.. So, which town or city??

Me: (getting annoyed by his pretentive knowledge) Adelaide

Dude: At the lake?? where?

Me: (Paused for 5 seconds... thinking to myself... is he drunk or on drugs or something?) eerr.. i meant Adelaide.. the capital for South Australia.. uno like.. Melbourne in Victoria state

Dude: Ohh.. Adelaide is by the lake side la.. ahhh.. now i get it..

*sob.. NOOO.. u dont get it!!! screamed inside my lung.. that's one hell of a ridiculous conversation i had with this cute fren of mine... Decoding Adelaide as "At.The.Lake" that must be some sorta potential in creativity man... At that moment, i thought to myself... "Is Adelaide, really that ulu to some of our fellow population in Malaysia? Am i making the right choice to transfer to Adelaide instead of the United State? Am i goin to transfer to some deserted area that filled with sands n camels?

that would be kinda sad.. dont u think? but at least i will get the chance to try camel milk tho..

At that point.. i was really in doubt.. All those stories that i heard about Adelaide from other poeple like "boring like cock la", "better visit afghanistan then Adelaide", "Better bring ur XBOX and lots n lots of games/animes', just popped up in my head n giving me this feeling that, "it's nothing bad.. it's just like a detention camp"... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ANYWAY.. that didn't stop my determination to put my faith in UniSA.. Adelaide might not be as comprehensible as Melbourne, Sydney or Perth back in Malaysia.. but I kept telling myself that.. since everybody is goin to those usual locations.. I am goin to be DIFFERENT! (Self-perceived reality.. that's so pathetic.. )

Regardless of all those comments.. i went all the way and i finally left the KLIA and flew to Adelaide.. (i am such a persistent guy! propz for myself :p)

LIFE in ADELAIDE

Right after i made my first step in Adelaide, and got myself transportation to my new home... I walked around the Uni, the town, and so on.. to get myself fit into this culture and lifestyle. Like i said before.. i m pretty adaptive.. i am ok with the lifestyle here.. and i dont have any particular preferrences for food and all.. so i m fine.. till i finally figured out the top 10 listings of what i miss most about Malaysia

let's check it out

10. My usual routine of havin my laptop in front of me, while my TV located at the 2 o'clock direction of my laptop = perfect double information gathering at one go!! propz! (i could get a TV here for myself as well.. but oh well.. is ok)

9. The usage of half broken half rotten Inggeris = what we called Manglish... seriously i kinda miss that.. u feels more comfortable and familiar with when you are talkin with your 'mother-tongue' uno (eh?!) (Manglish is not bad sounding at all.. as compared to Japlish, Papua New Guinlish, Banglish)

8. Futsal... tho i've been playin big field for several months and i m enjoying it.. yet..

7. the unlimited download cap of StreamyX.. it might not be as fast, might not be as efficient.. but it's economic and unlimited!!!

6. the usual telecast of football (soccer).. in Australia.. only big hack major matches are being broadcasted.. unless u subscribed the foxtel

5. MALAYSIAN FOODSSSSSS!!!!!!!! (i ranked it at the 5th place.. as i m not bad of a cook.. so i could produce some malaysian looking foods once in awhile)

4. Mamak.. I need u here.. as some of u might know that.. i m such a nocturnal creature.. and i m lazy sometimes.. so nocturnal + lazy + hungry = let's mamak.. but.. everything closed here after 5pm.. oh damn!!

3. Car..... my sexy purplish KIA Rio.. she might not be as fast as a ferrari, might not be as stylish as a Lumbo, might not be as classy as a Beemer, but.. it's still a car.. n once my wife!! Sorry that i had to divorce you temporarily.. *sob

2. Beloved Friends and Family members.. i miss u all.. honestly

1. MY PETS!!! my younger brothers n sister.. (i m the youngest in my actual family tree.. but 3rd in the full tree of 6 siblings, 2 younger bros -both shih tzus and a younger sis.. a syamise cat that always wear a bra!)
