My first movie review in a blog form.. (stilll first proper movie review ever made by me)

It's a movie directed and produced by Hayao Miyazaki, the animator who won countless movie awards around the world and carved down deep and meaningful memories for viewers with wonderful anime works (all movies tho) like NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Princess Mononoke (1997) and so on. This show (Howl's moving castle) is the second movie that forced him to come out of his retirement in order to finish the undone business that adopted by his animation company the famous "Studio Gibli".

Based on a novel - Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. Howl's Moving Castle follows the story of young Sophie Hatter, a bookworm, the eldest of two daughters, a girl doomed to an uninteresting life as a hat maker. Sophie resigns herself to her boring fate, but fate has other plans for her. Cursed by the Witch of the Waste with the body of a 90-year-old woman, she finds her way to the moving castle inhabited by the young handsome wizard - Howl, said by all to eat the souls of young girls.
Howl has been cursed by the Witch as well, and is seeking the love of young girl to help him break the curse. The book has enchanted readers of all ages for nearly 20 years, and the film was released on November 20, 2004 in Toho theaters across Japan.

After watching the show.. which followed no certain concrete flows.. the only thing in my mind was.. "it's so good that it shames virtually every animated movie film since his last film, Spirited away, graced movie scenes in year 2002"

It started off with a rather slow pace plot.. showing how peaceful the community is.. n blah blah.. but slowly the plot grows by gathering part and pieces of fantasy creations that based on his wild imagination and improvisation that based on the novel. This movie is very personal.. as in.. different viewers will have their own interpretation of the story, and it's unworthy to argue upon which is the better explanation and all.. It's a fantasy dreamy movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and that's the only thing you need to know.. and for that, no further explanation is needed.. because it's Hayao Miyazaki!!

Haha, maybe i m being a lil bit biased here or what. .since i've watched almost 60-70% of all his works, and yet, it always gave me a satisfied smile and i think paying 9.50aud for the ticket is definitely worthwhile and i have no regrets.

When viewing his production, even the most skeptical and critical individuals would gain no starting ground to begin their criticsm or expand their sarcasm.. Because in most of his films, he managed to install this deep message into the show and tell you this, "This is what dreams are for, and at this point of the time, what you need to do is to sit back, relax, and feel"

Some people might find it abit slow going still.. but to me.. this is a good show.. very good indeed..
8.5/10 at least.. If you can find it in any cinema near you.. go ahead!
